Release, Relax, Unwind

PUT YOUR BODY
IN GOOD HANDS

Experts estimate that upwards of ninety percent of disease is stress-related. And perhaps nothing ages us faster, internally and externally, than high stress. Massage is an effective tool for managing this stress, which translates into:

  • Decreased anxiety.

  • Enhanced sleep quality.

  • Greater energy.

  • Improved concentration.

  • Increased circulation.

  • Reduced fatigue.

Massage can also help specifically address a number of health issues. Bodywork can:

  • Alleviate low-back pain and improve range of motion.

  • Assist with shorter, easier labor for expectant mothers and shorten maternity hospital stays.

  • Ease medication dependence.

  • Enhance immunity by stimulating lymph flow—the body's natural defense system.

  • Exercise and stretch weak, tight, or atrophied muscles.

  • Help athletes of any level prepare for, and recover from, strenuous workouts.

  • Improve the condition of the body's largest organ—the skin.

  • Increase joint flexibility.

  • Lessen depression and anxiety.

  • Promote tissue regeneration, reducing scar tissue and stretch marks.

  • Pump oxygen and nutrients into tissues and vital organs, improving circulation.

  • Reduce post-surgery adhesion's and swelling.

  • Reduce spasms and cramping.

  • Relax and soften injured, tired, and overused muscles.

  • Release endorphins—amino acids that work as the body's natural painkiller.

  • Relieve migraine pain.

PHILOSOPHY

TESTIMONIALS

"Lisa is a wonderful massage therapist.  I had never had a massage until I went to Lisa.  I thought a massage was just a relaxing rubdown.  But the therapies she practices have helped me immensely.  Lisa is so qualified and dedicated to helping her clients.  And she's a great person too!"

-D.B.

"As a pilot with chronic lower back issues and a stressful lifestyle, Lisa offers multiple different types of massage therapies that simply make my pain go away.  As someone that cannot find solutions through physical therapy and does not want to take medicine everyday, her services are perfect.  I always leave feeling relaxed, refreshed and rejuvenated.  She is very welcoming, professional and goes out of her way to make sure she chooses the right therapy to target your muscular issues. She will even recommend certain stretching techniques that in my case, helped immensely.  I highly recommend Lisa to anyone looking for a solution to any of their chronic muscular pain.  She's one of the best!"

-E.L.

"I have been seeing Lisa monthly for over ten years. I am a firm believer in the benefits of massage therapy to maintain health and wellness. Recently I had a severe cold that just would not let go. Lisa suggested Raindrop Therapy with essential oils. I gave it a try and within three days my symptoms had alleviated, by day five they were gone. I am not suggesting this will work for everyone, but it did for me. I started massage therapy because of tension in my shoulders from working on a computer. Now it is an essential part of my wellness. I have every confidence in Lisa’s techniques and abilities, and her knowledge of essential oils. She evaluates your particular needs on every visit and will suggest the right therapy for that day combined with the right oils.  She is a keeper!"

"I have been seeing Lisa on a monthly basis for several years. She is quite frankly the best therapist I have ever experienced. She personalizes every massage to the specific needs I have for that day. She asks questions at the beginning of each session and then tailors her massage to meet your needs. She has several techniques such as cupping, hot stone and oils that soothe long after your massage has been completed. You should give her a try as the pleasure will be all yours."

"Although the reason I made my first appointment with Lisa Rooks in 2015, her skills by far exceed alleviating muscle tension.  I have degenerative arthritis due to physical trauma in 2006; I also suffer from typical symptoms of adulthood such as stress and exhaustion.  Between winter and work, I feel too young to be dependent on medicine for pain management.  Lisa has not only been a vital part of my physical and mental recovery, seeing her regularly has become invaluable to my preventative care.  Her multi-faceted skills, tools, and certifications, and her extensive knowledge and strategic use of essential oils, make her one of the most qualified professionals in my wellness network.  She might not be a doctor but she can certainly work miracles."
